Albert Einstein said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results…yet that’s exactly what we pontoon owners do (or at least hope for)when we replace our carpeting on our pontoon boat with more carpet!

Let’s take a closer look, you remove all the seats, hardware and center console remove the nasty carpeting, and adhesive, sand the/or replace the hardwood and then … glue carpet down again!

News flash!

The Truth is CARPET does NOT belong on pontoon boats or any boat for that matter!

There are those in the industry that would like you to believe otherwise because it’s a CHEAP cover up, but once you own a watercraft with carpeting you stand there on your soggy, smelly platform asking yourself the inevitable question “why is there carpeting on my boat ?” I wouldn’t put carpeting down even if it were for free!

Sure they call it marine rated and that it’s a “special carpet” but that’s like saying your three piece suit is marine rated for an ocean diving …it just doesn’t belong!

No you’re not NUTS it’s just that there are few options out there that are affordable and practical.

The good news is in 2012 DECKadence is changing the playing field for consumers and offering their popular DECKadence® marine flooring to pontoon owners.

Yes it’s more money than carpet… but the beauty, practicality, comfort and removability far outweigh the cost. DECKadence® is made from spooled PVC extrusion and treated with a wide range of GREAT STUFF such as anti microbial composites and UV inhibitors just to name a few.

You don’t even have to glue it down; you can snap it into place!

DECKadence® pontoon comes in 8′.6″ wide X as long as you like.

There is currently one style we call pinstripe and two colors. The sporty Pinstripe is 6″ wide in the center of the craft, and accentuates your crafts color scheme.

Beige with marine blue pin stripe and White with a beige pin stripe.
